Terms of Service

Scoura is currently in a soft launch / early access phase. The Service, its features, scoring methodology, and pricing may change, be limited, or be temporarily unavailable without the notice that would typically apply to a fully launched product. We'll do our best to communicate meaningful changes, but early access means things may move faster or break more than a mature product.

Scoura analyzes job descriptions you provide against your profile and uploaded resumes to generate a fit score, recommended resume, and related insights. Scoura does not search for or recommend jobs on your behalf; you supply the job descriptions to be analyzed.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Scoura.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

• Scoura offers a limited free tier and paid subscription plans (weekly and monthly), as described on our pricing page.
• Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current rate until canceled.
• If you cancel, your subscription remains active through the end of the current billing period; you will not be charged again, and access continues until that period ends.
• Analysis usage limits reset on a rolling basis tied to your current billing cycle, as described on our pricing page.
• All fees are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.
• As an early-access product, pricing and plan structures may change more frequently than a mature product's. We'll provide advance notice of price changes to existing subscribers; continued use after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance.

New accounts receive a limited, one-time free allowance of analyses. This allowance does not renew or reset upon cancellation and resubscription.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, billing, or account restrictions
• Upload content you don't have the right to upload
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract our scoring methodology or underlying prompts
• Use the Service to harass, defame, or make false statements about any individual or company

You retain ownership of the resumes, profile information, and job descriptions you submit. You grant us a limited license to process this content solely to provide the Service to you (including sending relevant text to our AI processing provider, Anthropic, to generate your analysis).

Scoura provides informational analysis to help you evaluate job opportunities. It does not guarantee interviews, offers, employment, or any specific outcome. Scores and recommendations are generated by an AI system and may be incomplete or inaccurate; you should use independent judgment before making career decisions.

We may use de-identified, aggregated usage and outcome data (such as patterns in application status across users) to improve the Service. This data will not identify you individually.

The Service, including its scoring methodology, design, and underlying technology, is owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond the limited right to use the Service as intended.

We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms. You may cancel your account at any time; see Section 5 regarding billing upon cancellation. As an early-access product, we also reserve the right to discontinue the Service entirely with reasonable notice.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that analyses will be accurate or complete. This disclaimer applies with particular force during the soft launch / early access period described in Section 1.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including any career or employment decisions made based on Scoura's output. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes to these Terms will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
